How to pay tax for the income generated through internet?
I would like to know how to pay tax in india for the income generated through internet?
I am an indian resident. Used to work in MNC.
I have been working on internet websites from the past 3 months.
Programs like affiliate marketing or paid to Click.
I am expecting an amount of 3 Crores in the next few weeks, From different sites. Which will reoccur every month.
I will transfer it partially through pay-pal and some through wire transfer.
I have updated my PAN card number in my savings bank account.
Now when the HUGE amount hits the bank will the Income Tax people trouble me?
How to pay tax on time to avoid them or penalty.
Please give me step by step instructions to pay online tax.
Cant i pay it by my own with out consulting a CA?
Vishal, sorry to say. But, you better ask this question after receiving the money. Because, I have seen what these businesses are like. Again, ask when you actually received the amount to your PAYPAL account, and then you transferred to your local bank account from paypal.
As to the taxation, you don’t need to consult a CA. You can file returns yourself. These days, most public sector banks are providing online filing of tax returns. Usually, this income is taxed under the head “Income from Other Sources” – one of the five heads, under which total income is calculated.
