Direct Affiliate Linking
links direct me to different sites?
Ok i have firefox , when ever I go to google.com annd search for ANYTHING and then click on the results i get directed to a diff page entirely, sometimes is a porn page sometimes its a off the wall search site page. The prob is not my homepage or searchengine, becauese i get the results i search for. The prob is when I CLICK on the link. For Example, when i clicked on sixflags.com i got redireted to http://6931.38855.local-search-pages.com/jump2/?affiliate=mx1&subid=38855&terms=links%20direct%20different%20search%20engine DONT CLICK THIS LINK THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE!
Ok UPDATE: Now, when i clicked on a sixflags link another tab auto opened in firefox to a “Free 1000.00 gifet card to Walmart” and when i click to close the page i get a popup box that tells me to click cancel on the next box and it a never ending process, i cant even close Firefox itself, b/c that popup box keep popping up. I have AVG (scanned found nothing) Spybot, Adaware, CCleaner and now just dl’d Malwarebytes.
I’ve had this issue before. It’s definitely either a virus or some sort of malware (spyware, adware, etc.) I would recommend running your anti-virus software. If you don’t have one you can download the free version of AVG anti-virus which works very well (it’s the only anti-virus i have on my computer and it runs great.) Also, I would recommend downloading and running Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware. It is a free program that removes malware. You can download it at www.malwarebytes.org.
