Why is the confirmation of “Eagle Scout” status by the Boy Scouts done in the church?
I just started to realize that all the newspaper announcements regarding the recoginizing of “eagle scouts” are done in church….I thought this orginazation was not affiliated with any religeous organization or group. I guess I am just a bit puzzled by this? Any history as to why?
I am not against this practice..I just wanted some history. Why do some think that to ask a question, is to take a stance one way or the other?
The awarding of the Eagle Scout badge may be performed at any location suitable to the group in attendance.
The reason most are in churches is that most Scout Troops are sponsored by a church.
