It seemed that everywhere I turned they were saying the same thing so I only concentrated on those particular methods. The benefit of submitting your site to these directories is that it will send backlinks to your site which we all know helps move you up in the search engines. It can be a very time consuming process but if it brings you more traffic, it was worth every minute.
The best way to search for “free website directories” is to go to Google and just do a search. There are so many to chose from to get started and of course, there are paid services as well.
I started using this method just recently and saw a slow but steady stream of traffic start coming to my site. I must admit, I was rather impressed and glad I finally took the initiative to actually sign up with these sites. Getting free traffic to your site is definitely worth the time and effort.
