Congressman Flyer, what is it ?
I have to do a flyer acting as if I’m a congressman running for office and i have to identify my personal beliefs in relation to important issues, the local political interests and interest groups that Isupport, and the party with which I am affiliated. Can somone give me the role of a congressman in short summary and maybe some suggestiosn for the criteria becuase i seriously can’t find a sight that gives me a clear definition for this stuff!
A Congressman votes on bills. If they pass they become law.
Important issues can be economic, education and military, (THere are more – those 2 are simple.)
Local interests stem from the above. If you believe that your local schools would best be served by local government, then you as a Senator would promote small federal spending. If you believe that Washington DC should set the standard for schools , then you would support lots of federal spending and big government controls in your literature.
Abortion is a good example too. THere are lots of arguments for the pro-life and pro-choice factions. The pro-life factions argue that all babies are precious and that life should be valued, The pro-choice factions believe that women are not incubators and should have the right to safe medical procedures.
