Affiliate Marketing-in the Buff
Let’s talk about what I mean by affiliate marketing in the buff. What I am trying to say is affiliate marketing in its natural state as it should be. I am sure that everyone is aware that this type of marketing is putting you between the vendor and a potential customer in the hope of earning a commission if the vendors’ product is sold. But what else in affiliate marketing?
I am going to attempt to make my point by using a quote from and old Earl Nightingale tape “Acres of Diamonds”. He stated that “You can get anything in life you want if you help enough people get what they want”. Think about that in affiliate marketing terms. In my mind this interprets to first identifying a real problem in one of three areas of anyone’s life. These areas could be called: Health, Wealth, or Love. Then you have to do the research and find a product or service that gives them what they need to resolve whatever issue they are experiencing. This product has to be a real solution and you have to believe in its ability to help.
Consider wealth. Imagine the person in today’s economy that is trying to supplement their income by utilizing affiliate marketing. Imagine that no matter how hard this person tries they cannot seem to make it work for them. So they are desperately looking for information they can use to succeed. They have the need and the desire but they just do not have the how. This is a problem that can be solved by seeking out a professional product that has the information they need and that you believe in, and then promote it to this person.
They will get the information they need and you will get a commission for providing it to them. You will also gain something else. You will to receive that person’s gratitude and respect as a marketer with integrity. Remember, gone are the days when an affiliate marketer could just find an e-book to promote, write an ad, and make money. That may have been true at one time but those days are gone.
Today you have to do research and find a solid product or service that you believe before you can promote it. In this way you will gain the confidence of your audience. By gaining this confidence you are in better position to find and promote future products to your customers. This key idea will promote your long term success with your online business and “Affiliate Marketing in the Buff”.
