How has the subprime crisis affected you?
I work in the bond markets, and I’m looking at making about half of what I normally do this year, and there’s always the prospect of getting canned as well. The bonds I’m in aren’t even residential bonds, but the market has been so hammered by these bonds affiliated with loser homeowners that everyone is affected. I was also planning on buying a Harley night rod this year, complete with a new matching outfit, but I’ll have to shelf that as well. How have you been affected?
I don’t see where we’ve been affected by this….with the exception of our home recently being appraised at over $20,000 more than the purchase price less than two years ago.
I am rather worried about how that will affect our taxes in escrow. :S
