Affiliate marketing: is it true that you don’t make a commission if viewer doesn’t buy immediately?
If the viewer goes to the product site but decides to bookmark the site and ends up buying later, you don’t make the commission. Is this correct? Please DO NOT REPLY to advertise your affiliate program.
Most affiliate programs have at least a 30-days cookie. This means that if the persons comes back to the site within 30 days and makes the purchase, you’ll get the commission.
Soft programs even have up to 90-days cookie and I remember reading somewhere about a year long cookie.
You would most likely be able to find the duration of the cookie somewhere on the affiliate sign-up section of the program you’re interested in.
