Affiliate Marketing Tip: Creating a Free Report
If you want to have success with any online business, you need to give away free valuable information. By sharing this type of information with others, your potential customers will be more interested in proceeding to your website to see what you have to offer. Creating a free report is how you can accomplish this and give your affiliate product more exposure.
A report can consist of anywhere from five to 25 pages as long as it provides good information on the topic you are promoting. These reports are usually distributed in a PDF format. You can promote your own website or affiliate products throughout your report.
There are several ways you can use a free report to make money.
* You can make recommendations by incorporating your affiliate links directly into your report either at the end of each chapter or throughout each chapter.
* You can recommend that they join your newsletter so that you can continue to provide them with updated and informative information. By them joining your newsletter, this will give you the opportunity to continue to promote your product as well as others you have found and continue to encourage your subscribers to purchase from you.
* You can create your own review site of the product you are promoting and point them to that site through your link.
* If you are promoting a product with an eBook, you can contact the owner of the product to see if you can incorporate some of the information from the eBook into a free report to entice your readers to wanting more information. Most eBooks have great information within the introduction that is still valuable without giving away too much information.
You should encourage your readers to share your report to others who may be interested in the same topic. As your readers continue to pass your report around, this will just give you even more exposure to potential new customers and your list will continue to grow.
You can easily compose a report by starting from scratch, extending something you may have already written or combine a few related articles. Just be sure to provide the benefits your customer can receive from your product. It’s easy to put together and most everyone has some type of word processing software. For converting your report into a PDF format you will need a program that converts easily. There are plenty of free PDF creators but you will need one that will convert your active links such as Open Office.
I encourage you to start using free reports if you haven’t already. Just by creating one free report each month, you will increase the amount of visitors to your site and enjoy watching your sales increase. Reports are easy to put together and a great way to promote your product.
